Our original stay was at Tanjung Benoa, at the far right on a peninsula at the bottom end of the island. We were there during the two devasting earthquakes at Lombok, a distance of about 174 km across the water and inland. We were on the top (4th) floor and the whole building was swaying and shaking. Not having experienced an earthquake before, it was a question of "What was that?"
